The overall goal of this project is to provide wireless Bluetooth remote
control service for Linux. In contrast with other Bluetooth remote control programs
anyRemote is not limited to SonyEriccson or JSR-82 capable phones. It was developed
as just thin "communication" layer between bluetooth-capabled phone and Linux, and
in principle could be configured to manage any software.
And Bluetooth connection is not the only way to use it.
anyRemote could be used with:
- Bluetooth serial connection (using modem AT commands)
- Infrared serial connection (using modem AT commands)
- cable serial connection (using modem AT commands)
- it could works with Java client written for JSR82 capabled phones
- it could accept incoming connection from network
- it has limited support for Bemused clients (no playlists and files info)
anyRemote was known to work with with:
- BenqSiemens-S68
- Motorola-E770V (with JSR82 Java client)
- Motorola-V360 (with JSR82 Java client)
- Motorola-V500 (BT & Cable)
- Nokia-6021 (with JSR82 Java client)
- Nokia-6230i (with JSR82 Java client)
- Nokia-6280 (with JSR82 Java client)
- Sagem-my700Xi, my6X-2
- Siemens-S55, CX75
- SonyEricsson-K700, K750 (BT & IR & JSR82 Java client) cell phones.
I will be pleased for any suggestions, patches and examples of configuration files.
